Which Spitfires and BF109 were used using the battle of Britain? There are many variations but I want to be exact on this one. Photos could be helpful. Thanks!

Hi Shonen, the spitfires used in the BoB were the Mk1a [all machineguns] and Mk1b [2 cannon]. The Me109E-3 was the type used by the Germans.

Spitfire Mk 1 & 2 (little visual difference, change was mainly confined to a more powerful engine. Early Mk 1's had flatter cockpit hood).
Messerschmitt Bf 109 E-3/E-4 (only visual diference was the cockpit hood, heavier framing on the E-4)
Messerschmitt Bf 109 E-3/E-4 (only visual diference was the cockpit hood, heavier framing on the E-4)

Thanks! I have seen so many Spitfires (Mk1, 2, 3, 5) and many BF109s out there. Thanks for clearing out for me. Once I thought it was any of the Spitfires and it was the BF109G. Thanks!

Does the Academy's 1/72 Spitfire Mk1 and BF-109E-1's pretty good? I found them very cheap and kinda easy to build.

Quick question to piggyback off of Shonen's question, which type of Hurricane was used?

I wasn't aware that Academy made a Spitfire Mk1 in any scale, only the much later Mk XIV. As for their early Bf 109E-3/4 (kit #2133), it does have some obvious inaccuracies around the under-wing radiators/flaps area. The rest appears to be ok, but I've not checked to closely.
