Hi Gang,
This is probably a dumb question but i`ve got to ask it anyway, what are the differences between the Meteor Mk I and the Mk IV ?.
I ask as,like many,i was hoping to do one as a "Doodlebug" chaser or failing that a Mk IIX (my dad was stationed at RAF Horsham St. Faith, now Norwich Airport)when this mark was in service.

This is a useful article on the Meteor http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gloster_Meteor It shows the F4 had different engines, shorter wings and a number of other changes which probably make an F1 a very difficult conversion

Backdating the HK kit to a Mk.I might be possible, Paul Fisher has mentioned he might do an F.3 conversion which would give you the wingtips and shorter nacelles, you'd still need to make the early canopy as this differs from the F.3 version.
An NF.12 is also a future possibility as, again, Paul has said he'd be keen on producing a late nightfighter conversion.
At the moment he's working hard and an F.8 conversion.
Have a look here, Paul has his own subforum on the LSP site
