This is the Hasegawa F-14A I was building for the Enterprise campaign, seeing as I missed the deadline I am taking a little more care in finishing this off and will continue with the build here.

I had just about got to applying the decals when I ran out of time(I need an embarrassed emoticon here) so I went back to re-scribe the formation lights that got lost in the build I am hopping I can get them to look better than this when I am done.

I then started the long process of adding the decals, I started by adding all the panels back in place temporarily so that I could get the decals to line up properly. I was just about to type that I had to re work the decals at the back but discovered that I did not have to do that and now have to go back and fix what I did.

Cheers Rob.

Rob,
So far your start to decaling looks really good. Nice job with the gloss prep.

Thanks Guys!

While making the post I was looking for the name of the rear lower fins thats when I discovered that I did not need to take little pieces of decal to make the up turned line on the rear that is left to be corrected.

Cheers Rob.

I ran into a little problem, I seem to have misplaced the door for the ladder and it is needed to continue decaling. After looking through numerous boxes and almost giving up I found it and it has since been painted and clear coated ready to continue with the decals.

Cheers Rob.

Rob,
Nice job on what looks like a very complicated decaling effort with all those taped on panels and doors. that method does leave you some additional finishing work to do, but there doesn't seem to be a better way.

Thanks guys!

It would be easier if I had done a better job of forming the panels and I wasn't battling cat hair all the time.

Cheers Rob.

Rob,
The decaling is really turning out quite well. Looking forward to finally seeing the F-14A decaling finished.

Aaaaaa,

The wolfpack F-14A, my childhood favorite for the perfect reason that the picture in the airfix catalog was so beautiful.
