Here are the pictures of my recently finished 1/48 scale Hasegawa Bf 109G-14.
The model was built SFTB except for the decals which were from an EagleCals sheet. Paints used were Model Master enamels.
This aircraft had distinctive wear on the paint work around some of the fuselage seams and looked like an attempt was made by the ground crew to touch up the damage by paint brush, also an older aircraft number was crudely brush painted out before the yellow 18 was added.
...and here is my attempt to match the damaged paint work seen in the above photograph.

Les,
Sure looks like a solid build. I keep on comparing your sepa image to the real photograph, and you really nailed it. It's that good.

Thanks Joel,
This was only the second 1/48 scale Hasegawa 109 I have built and like the first one it was a joy to build.
Later this year I will build another Hasegawa 109 probably a K-4.
More pictures...

Hi Les
Lovely job!
I know it's fashionable in some quarters to tear the Hasegawa kits to shreds, but they're still great builds in my book. I've plenty in my Stash in one variant or another, and the arrival of newer kits won't have me ditching them.
All the best
Rowan

Thanks very much Rowan!
If anybody reading this is not pleased with their Hasegawa 109's feel free to send them to me, I will put them to good use. After building two of the old Hobbycraft 109 kits recently I found this Hasegawa kit to be a delight.
Can't wait to get my hands on one of those new Eduard 109's.

Hi
I have some Fujimi ( the newer ones ) and some Hasegawa in my "to build pile " and i will keep them too.
You did a great looking 109 ! it looks a bit, the lower fuselage is in bare metal with puttied panel lines.
Late war LW birds are very difficult !

Thanks for your comments Bernd!
Yes the late war Luftwaffe schemes can be difficult at times but they do make for interesting looking models.

Hi Les
I hoped you tried our E-Bunny hunt to win one of them! I won't say it's perfect (what kit is?), but it really is a beauty in my opinion. I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do with it!
All the best

Thanks to all for the comments!
I am working on another 109 right now, this new model will be a Regensburg built 109 as seen in the JaPo book ''Messerschmitt Bf 109s of JG 52 in Deutsch Brod''.

Thanks for looking Jean-Luc!
Bernd,
A few months ago I started out with the intention of only building two Bf 109s but while looking through my reference books I was inspired to get two more kits out of the stash and build them too!
One of the other new kits I am nearly finished with is a Fw 190F-9, I will post some WIP pictures in a day or two.

Bernd,
Here are some snaps of my next two models, the models have been painted, gloss coated, and ready for the weathering with oil paints.
The Tamiya Fw 190F-9...
...and the bomb loading cart and ground crew figures supplied with kit.
And here is the old Revell Bf 109G-10 being made as a Regensberg built Bf 109G-14/AS.

Thanks again Bernd!
The models are getting weathering done with oil paints right now, I like working with oil paints because if a mistake is made its really easy to wipe it off and start again. Oil paints take a very long time to dry but that can be speeded up by using a hair dryer.
I might get some pics of what the models look like now and post them.
