I just joined this forum and have just posted on the introduction forum. I am 66 and this is my first build although I have a bit of experience with building wooden boat kits. I am thinking of buying this model from Korea and would like to hear from anyone who has any knowledge of it.

If it's the 1/32nd scale kit your referring to, the Italeri is a more recent re-box of the Kinetic kit. Certainly, the Kinetic kit has been highly praised in reviews.

Laurie,
I just posted in your welcome post, but another welcome certainly wouldn't hurt.

The Academy 1/48 F-86-30 Sabre is a excellent kit of a Korean Sabre. The fuselage is a two piece affair front to rear. The Hasegawa kit is a F-86-40, which is the Japanese export version. Also the fuselage splits for displaying the engine, which usually causes alignment issues if you want to close up the two halves.

the -30 version doesn't have slatted wings, while the -40 does, so if you use after market decals, you need to check for the proper version.

Looking forward to following your build.
Joel
