Eduard have produced the Remove before flight ribbons before in photo etch, now they produce them in fabric with photo etch connectors. Andy Brazier reviews this 1/48th set.

Really a nice idea. The issue for me is that the fabric will basically hang straight unless you brush on some diluted white glue. PE ones will hold any shape you bend them into.
