Here are the pictures of the recently finished Tamiya 1/48 scale Fw 190F-9. This model was built as my entry in an O.O.B. group build over at M.A.
The model was painted with Model Master enamels shot with my Iwata Revolution BR airbrush. The backdrop used in these pictures was also painted with the equipment and paint brand as the model.
You keep building up beauties! I, too, like the dust - overlooked on model airplanes. (Might there be spatter behind the wheels under the wings?)
This looks like the F-8 the Smithsonian has, although they didn't do the yellow nose band. They created a book of its restoration which, IIRC, does have the band.

“Any plan where you lose your hat is a bad plan.”
I used four photographs of the full size machine to guide me in the painting and weathering of the model, its not always possible to have photographs that show both sides of a late war Luftwaffe bird.
The figures overalls might look a bit strange, I highlighted the creases a bit which looked okay but I also tried to add some dirt stains to them too which made the dry brushing I did for the highlights look really sloppy.
This Tamiya kit was really fun to build and was a good value for the money, it came with canopy masks, ground crew figures with bomb loading trolley, usable decals, and the option to build either an F-8 or F-9. The downside is the figures included were a little soft on detail compared to the likes of ICM figures but they were still a welcome addition in this kit.

Les, As usual, another completed build up to your very high standards. I'm a big fan of your B&W photos as they make the whole presentation seem so real.
BTW, I had no idea you painted your own backgrounds. They add so much to the overall scene by looking out of focus, which makes us re-focus on the subject matter, yet gives the illusion of a real life scene.

Thank you again Joel, I have several different backdrops that I use in the pictures of my finished models, three are those I airbrushed myself and two others are store bought that were intended for the model RR guys with their layouts. The store bought backdrops are of course better but with more practice I think I can improve greatly.
