Hi all
Hope everyone had a great X-mas holiday (:-) .
I just splurged and bought me the Tamiya 1/32 Zero. I got it off of ebay for $65 which is a fair price considering it sellsfor anywhere from $80 to $100 as most of the modeling stores and sites.
I am eagerly awaiting its arrival in the mail .
What I am wondering is if anyone can point me to some really good reference pics on the internet for the cockpit. I have found a few good reference sites that deal mainly with Japanese aircraft but as of yet I cannot find any good color shots of the interior of the cockpit. I will need some good exterior walk-around shots too for the exterior and the engine. If anyone can point me to the better detailing shots I would greatly appreciate it.
Good modeiling to all and thanks
Wayne

Congratulations on your purchase! I have gone a bit Zero Nuts myself and now have three of the standard kits as well as three Light & Sound versions. Here is a good resource website for you.

:-) Nice one, Wayne. Are you going to be building this for the Japanese theme campaign that starts in the new year?

Thanks for the links guys. Those are some really good sites
Holdfast: I havn't looked into campaigns yet. I really don't know what they are or how they work. And if there is any kind of time limit I may have to opt out for I really expect this Zero to take me quite a while to build.. I will look into it tho for I am sure it would be a fun thing to do.
Good modeling all,
Wayne

:-) Campaigns are great, the system is being improved. The idea is to trade experiences during the build and to learn. I know what you mean about "taking a while to build", if I was building that beauty I'd want to take my time. If you are still interested in the campaign may I suggest you build a smaller scale Zero, for the campaign, which will help you get a feel for the aircraft, for when you do the main attraction. Yes there is usually a time limit on campaigns, one of the aims is to help modellers to finish kits, which they do, believe me. To join read up on the campaign, in the campaign forum, when the campaign is "live" you can add your name to it and your off. Give it a go, you will like it :-)

I have checked out the campaigns and it does look like fun.
I have a small collection of unbuilt kits but no Japanese aircraft other than the 1/32 Zero on the way.. And my 'better half' would probably be really annoyed with me if I wanted to go out and still buy another kit.
I will keep an eye on the campaigns tho.. sooner or later there will definately be one I will get into.
Thanks for the info and sparking my interest in it.

Hi there
I had found some great cockpit references when I built my zero. But I can't find them all now. Try this site. Click on the "S.D.A.M" link. Also the "Kanoya" link.
