Just a few photos of my latest completion. This is the Wingnut Wings 1:32 Fokker DVII (OAW)Kit built to represent one of roughly two dozen DVII's operated by the newly formed 1 Squadron Canadian Air Force at Hounslow in the UK in late 1918 and into 1919 before the aircraft were shipped to Canada.
The Lozenge is by Aviattic, markings from Pheon, and Aftermarket additions include rebuilt Instruments and Panel, HGW Seat Belts, and a PE Radiator face from RB Productions. The hand laminated and carved Niendorf Prop has the Kit Prop Boss added and a PE rear Boss. The cockpit is a "full build" with a few additions and full flight control cable installation.
Hope you like her......
Cheers,
Lance

That's an excellent DVII and the lozenge looks tremendous. Great model!

Superb!
I visited the Knowlton Quebec BromeCounty Museum especially to see the 'Knowlton Fokker', which was a war trophy. Your model reminds me me very much of it, and your photos reminded me of how I felt when I saw it the first time.
Congratulations, you have transcended the medium of a simple scale model. I forget I am looking at a model!

That's another delightful model, Lance. It deserves to have its day in the sun on the front page

Gorgeous as always. Jessica's right - this needs to be covered in a feature article.

Thanks Lance,
Busy as ever, just very little stress. I don't miss the "prison" work at all.

lovely weathering, esp. on nose.
If you don't mind constructive criticism, are the gun barrels drooping slightly? It is a problem I have myself. Does anyone have an answer?
Great build
Clive

I don't see it Clive however they could very well be at less then 100% alignment. I've found, even with the superbly engineered Wingnut Wings Kits that, come time to mount the guns there is always some adjustment to be done. On this Kit the left rear support had somehow ended up more "inboard" then it should have been; I was just able to catch the edge with the mounting lug on the gun and took a mental note to keep an eye out for the problem on the next DVII Build. I see the only solution as checking and re-checking the alignment as they are installed and shimming or shaving when required. From what I have seen in other Builds fore/aft mis-alignment (along the longitudinal axis)is more common.
Cheers,
Lance

The guns look bang on, I think Clive didn't take the AoA into account and expected the guns to be perfectly parallel with the top wing. Hard to tell from those angles anyway.
