I am sorry to report that the director of Zvezda models, Konstantin Krevenko, passed away 2 days ago at the age of 52. Zvezda has been the top producer of scale models in Russia for some time now and has done a tremendous amount for the industry there. They produced a lot of good scale models at affordable prices. He also organized many charity programs for children.
Rest in peace Mr. Krevenko.

Hi Stephen
Thanks for bringing us this very sad news. Zvezda have been building an enviable reputation recently, and kits like their 1:48 Bf 109F will long remain a testament to Knostantin. My sincere condolences go out to his family and friends.

Sorry to know about that... Zvezda is one of the firms that brought Russian model industry to the first level. In just a few years they have gone from oily trash to compete with the best. They satisfy our demands and create honest jobs for people to work at. I didnīt even know his name until now, but I owe a few Zvezda kits. And judging from the results he got, and the very disadvantageous starting point, it seems clear that this is the kind of man any nation needs.

A sad loss to the hobby and as a company, Zvezda have improved beyond what anyone would have expected of them even only a few years ago.
RIP

The company was the kind of enterprise that gave me hope, on a micro level, for a "new Russia." I certainly hope they continue the upward course he charted.
So sad to lose a good man at age 52.

So young, so tragic. My condolences to Mr. Krevenko's family and friends. I am certain that through his children's charities he will be remembered, and in his acclaimed Zvezda he will live on.
Rest in peace Mr. Krevenko.
