Hi Gang,I was thinking about getting a set of Eduard Wgr21 rockets to go on one of my ME 110`S but does anyone know if they were fitted to these aircraft ?.
I ask as i`ve finally gotten round to reading "The Mighty Eighth" (i`ve only had it thirty years !)and it describes how some formations were broken up by rocket firing aircraft and i thought this combo would look cool !.
A little help here

Hi Danny!
For sure the 110's have WGR 21, depending on type/year/JG - check also here, maybe it's helpful.

Yes I have seen pictures of them equipped with rockets. Also read somewhere they were effective at attacking the tight bomber formations. A salvo of rockets into such formations would have guaranteed several hits.

Hi Danny,

Not sure about the zerstorer geschwaders that used it, but I have several well documented photos of bf.110 G-2 (either the early version still equipped with the 4 Mg17 on the nose or the late version that replaced those Mg's for 2 MG 151 2cm cannons) using from a single tube under each wing to a twin tube configuration under each wing. Reich defense period (1943-44).
I built one from Eduard carrying 2 mortar tubes plus a 37cm canon minus nose armament. A heavy puch

Cheers
Pedro
