The Kindle version is now available for sale. We'd love to have this book, or Volume 1 on the F3h Demon, reviewed on the Kitmaker site.

I have a HP windows 8.1 PC that is just 1 years old. I did a few google searches, and there are major issues with getting the any of the Kindle versions to work with Win8.1. Even when you do get it to work, you can't access any previously downloaded books unless you're online. That seems to indicate to me that you never actually downloaded the book, but rather it's hosted on a cloud service. If I bought the book, I certainly want it on my computer, not on a cloud service unless that's my decision. That does cause other issues as well. One would be that you can't access those books if you're on a plane, or where there isn't internet service.

Is a hard copy of the book available for purchase?

Hi, Joel. No hard copy will be done on this book. On the iPad it's ~420 pages with over 530 photos, and it would have to cost in the $80 range. I'm distressed to hear that there are Kindle/WIndows 8.1. I'll have to do a little research on this. I have the Kindle version and while it does exist in the cloud, all my computers/devices can sync with the cloud and that downloads the content to the computer/device so you can read them on a plane or wherever you are with no wifi/cell connection.

Joel, I just went to the Amazon Kindle Reader page and there is a Kindle Reader App for Windows 8. The site says "Buy Once, Read Everywhere: Read anytime you have your Windows 8 device with you—just download the Kindle for Windows 8 app to start reading now." That indicates to me that Windows 8 is just like other computers/devices. The link for where I found this is: http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?ie=UTF8&docId=1000844301

Thanks for the information. I did a few Google searches, and it's a rather well known issue with the Kindle desktop app and Win8.1. Some of the ad hoc fixes have been to uninstall/reinstall every time you want to download a new book, which is something I don't want to have to do. And while you can purchase the kindle reader from Amazon, there are free ones available from the Play Store and the Google store that do the same thing.

I'm going to download the Kindle desktop App and make sure it works. If it does, then I will be purchasing your new Cougar book.
