Here's something a little different. This special edition kit added a resin Bv 246 glide bomb to Hasegawa's standard Fw 190A-8 kit. I opted for the attractive speculative night raider scheme as portrayed on the box art.
Those familiar with the Hasegawa 1/48 Fw 190s know they are superb kits. Only a couple aftermarket items were used on this one - Ultracast's seat and wheels - while a few minor scratch built details were added.
Cheers,
Eric

Eric,
Outstanding. I've never seen this version before as a model. Excellent build, outstanding paint scheme, with just a touch of weathering.

The tail fins of the bomb are really close to the ground - was that how they were in reality? That would have really caused problems on take-off from grass strips.

Good observation. It's pretty close! Although it looks like the real thing has a bit more clearance. I never thought to check the photos for that when I attached the bomb. If I had, I'd probably have slightly shortened the brace between the bomb's tail tip and pylon prior to attachment.
Cheers,
Eric
