The Tamiya Birdcage Corsair didn't really do it for me and I have been holding out for the F4U-1A, which it looks like they are about to produce

After the big Tiffie this is a must have for me happy days

Mal,
It's certainly about time that Tamiya issued this variant considering that most of the kit will share parts from their excellent F4U-1 Birdcage kit. It will certainly be a huge seller, that will out sell the -1 as the iconic shape is what most of us envision when thinking about the Corsair .
Even I have been sitting on the fence about buying the Birdcage and the -1A when it's released.

I have been looking at schemes for the -1, mainly because I have produced a few sets of masks for it but I will probably only build 1, so It will be the -1A. Having said that I might build the -1D, when they release that
