Thought I would "phone a friend", and see what I should build next. I just cannot decide. Here are the choices...
1. 1/48 Tamiya P-47 Razorback
2. 1/48 Tamiya A-1H Skyraider
3. 1/48 Eduard FW-190A-5
4. 1/48 Hasegawa BF-109G-6
5. 1/48 Tamiya P-51D
Just don't know which one to build. Help me decide please.....

I vote for the Razorback. When in doubt, always go with the Thunderbolt.

I'd love to see a build up of the Skyraider. I just love that big old warmachine.

From those I'd pick the Skyraider.

Just to be a little different, how about a P-51D with a NMF?

So far we have
3- Skyraider
2- Razorback
1- P-51
You guys/gals are not making this any easier. . I have aftermarket decals for the P-51 and P-47. Will try to find the decals i want for the A-1. Superscale 48-1006. Might have to make a little trip and get some stuff for the skyraider....

The Skyraidér, of course. A magnificent machone that performed excellently in close air support, as scout, or as sandy, leaping to the rescue of downed pilots.
Maybe we could do a joint build. You make a vietnam sandy 1/48 scale, and I join in with a jolly green giant in the same scale?
And we make joint thread in the forum?
Now if someone else would kick in with a thud or a corsair ii, we could really party

The Mustang - it's the classic new-age kit. If you want to do some simple aftermarket upgrades, then get the True Details Cockpit. It was the first aftermarket set I ever used.

It has to be the 'Flying dump truck' but don't forget to open up the front cowling flaps unless you have it parked on deck. These flaps were closed to prevent saltwater ingress. In other words the Skyraider please

My vote goes for the Mustang. It's a beautiful kit even OOB. Just screaming for MNF.

Heh Heh, didn't want to confuse you in picking a model but you can't go wrong with any of those Tamiya kits. They are all great.

Excellent choice. I built this kit OOB with the killer Bumble Bee kit decals several years ago. I don't recall any issues, and the fit was about as perfect as you could ever hope for. I still have the A-1J USAF version in my stash that keeps on calling my name.
Will be following your build for sure.
