I think it's "Pick an engine and build one of the airplanes it was attached to".

Sorry was a bit confusing wasnt I. I was suggesting either just a Merlin or just a R-2800 campaign.

Interesting idea, i would suggest though that if the Merlin engine idea went ahead that the builder would need to research the aircraft they intend on building for example, not all Lancasters had the Merlin as the MkII was fitted with Bristol Hercules engines like wise for the Spitfire as later marks use the Gryphon engine.

I agree. That is all part of model building, research and learning. I would hope that we would see a range of aircraft rather than a bunch of Spits (a plane that I love).

I'd be able to pick more than one project from the R-2800 list.

Why can't we pick from either the Rolls-Royce Merlin or the Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp for this build. You might get more combatants in the campaign.

Or extend the campaign and build one from each.

I am happy to go with the flow. We can run the two together,,,,kind of Radial V Inline!
