Aurora was one of the early injection model producers and started a large series of WWI airplanes in the mid to late 1950s. This is their 1957 release of the Nieuport 28C.1.

I have updated this review with expanded box art and issue dates information.

In your review, sir, you take issue with the engraved insignia, this should not be an issue. This is a 1950's kit aimed at kids (us... I am 1950 vintage) it was okay with me then and now. Only I paint better, between the lines.

I have just bought a Aurora Fok. D-8, original box, metalic green plastic. I am going to attempt to build it Unpainted. now that's a challenge.

I've got to disagree with you there - I didn't appreciate the moulded-on markings even when I was a kid way back in the old days. For one thing, they didn't always match the decals very well (or, at all - in some cases!).

They are one "help" for beginners that I'm very glad to see fall by the wayside.
