Hi all, just wondering what the inside canopy frame colour would be for an raf spitfire ..cockpit green or....??

This set of photos is by far the absolute best reference for Spitfire cockpits on the entire interwebs. From this, it's plain to see that the canopy frames are black inside.

Superb pics! Interestingly, the frames of the rear fixed section of the canopy look to be unpainted in this instance, along with the fuselage interior behind the seat.
A note of caution there, though: Edgar Brooks has noted that the area behind the seat was painted Grey Green in many Spitfires (I can't remember offhand the specifics of which marks or factory(s)) - so would that have extended to the rear canopy frames?
