Having a training aircraft win Model of the month is tolerably rare. When it happens, it's usually because the model is superlative, as it is in this case.

Nice! I've built one of those birds. MisterCrafts offering in 1:72. The color was pure guesswork on my part but it seems I hit pretty close to the mark.
