Here is another recently finished model, its the 1/48 scale HobbyBoss Ta 152C.
As usual with my models it was built O.O.B. and was painted with Model Master enamels.
Markings on this model are of W.Nr.380155 ''white 4'' of III./KG(j)27. KG(j) units were formed to train ex-bomber crews how to fly fighters and they used a variety of piston engine fighters from the Bf 109 to the latest long nose Focke-Wulfs.

Below is a typical KG(j)27 flight line scene in the spring of 1945, ''white 4'' is in the middle of this shot.

Matt,
No, the wheel is painted, its just coated in dirt like the rest of the tail of this aircraft. In the spring of 1945 a lot of Luftwaffe units operated from dirt airstrips and often dirt and mud would get splashed on the rear of the aircraft during takeoff and landing.

Realy good job, weathering is spot on. You can smell the grass and the fresh air from the alps.

Thanks Torsten and Richard!

Torsten,
I enjoy adding weathering to my models and IMHO operational WWII machines look naked without at least some weathering on them.
I used photographs of the Luftwaffe aircraft that were flown to Furth to surrender to U.S. forces to guide me in adding weathering to this model, a more beaten up and heavily weathered group of aircraft than this is hard to find.

Here is another picture of this model...
