Excellent work as usual.
I do all my builds oob too. I find that the AM parts are too expensive and I normally don't look into the cockpit that much after the models are done. I look at the overall finished in general.

Thanks Fred and cnq007!
Aside from decal sheets I usually build O.O.B. because most kits are expensive enough as they are, plus on modern kits there is usually enough detail to make a passable looking model out of them.
If I can make an aircraft model look like the full size machine as seen in my reference books than I am happy with it...if a panel line is missing or the shape is a little off I don't fret about it.

Les,
Another one of your master pieces. An outstanding OOB build. Your camo paint scheme and decaling is just perfect as usual. The one Black & White picture is just about impossible to tell if it's the real deal or not.
I'm mostly an OOB guy myself with added details as deemed necessary. My goal for each build is a perfect display model, that's viewed from a distance of 1 foot or so. For me, that's how my models are seen at home, and since I've long ago stopped building for contests, super detailing for the sake of turning a judges head is something that no longer concerns nor interests me.

Beautiful build Les! Your airbrushing technique is excellent, as is the weathering on this bird. Outstanding all around1

Thank you Naseby!
I try to match the weathering on my models to what I see in photographs of the full size machines.
This aircraft did not look too dirty but was still well used.

Hi Les,
Your Dora is excellent as usual, especially the painting which i personally think it is your strongest argument.
But looking at the photos there seems to be 2 different propeller caps, one in plain RLM 70 and another with a spiral, based on what i believe is the same red 18...A change of heart perhaps?
Cheers mate

Thanks very much for the comments Pedro!
The one picture of the D-9 with the different nose was just me goofing around, I swapped the nose from my KG(j)55 Dora just to see what ''red 18'' would look like with a spiral spinner.
I can't always do so but I like to have at least one of the pictures of my finished models to have something a bit ''off'' in them to keep things interesting.
