A long time Shelf Queen is back on my bench for some work. This is the Trumpeter 1/32 scale kit, and so far not a bad kit.

God that's a big bird.

Is the upper wing just dry-fitted? I'm trying to figure out how the canopy mask is going to work if not lol.

The upper wing is attached, I had to so I could align the wing builds. The canopy is masked before it was attached, and I will stuff the cockpit before painting. My only question is how will I paint the camo under the upper wing, think I can do it, but we will find out.

Kevin,
I've never seen this kit being built before. It's certainly a lot bigger then I would have thought. The engine detail is amazing, for that matter so is the cockpit and surface details. I'll be following your build with a great deal of interest.

Im am just finishing up the 1/72 airfix floaty version of this great plane. One of the biggest challenges was sequencing the building with the painting, it is complex because of the bi plane configuration, the fairly finicky attachment of the wings and too make it worse I built it with folded wings (I think it looks like a sleepy dragonfly like that).

I am looking forward to you solution to painting.

Have Fun
Bryan,
