I was looking at the "Cydermoder Online" web site. there is a review of MDF Scaled Down "RAF & Royal Navy Phantoms" .

I hope they did a better job than the last three "Modeller's Data Files" on the F-4 Phantom.

The last books have so many mistakes
eg:
USAF Phantoms: (Book 12)
Colour side views of F-4E's with the heading F-4D
A picture of a TER on an inner pylon mark as a MER

Naval Phantoms:(Book 13) "RF-4J Walkaround" for a F-4J, Hasegawa F-4J 1/32 (Heading) in the picture beside it show a Tamiya F-4J Kit

Oversea Operators: (Book 13) there are mistakes in ladeling of photos and colour side veiws Spainish F-4C marked as a F-4D

These a but a few

Your right, Fred, the SAM Data Files cannot be a trusted reference in many cases. The intent is wonderful, however, proofing and quality control are seriously lacking.
I only have three of them, and I'm going to keep it that way. They cost to much for a modellers resource that has to be verified for accuracy anyway.

That's just an old grouch's 2cents worth. Happy New Year anyway!!
