I was going to enlist in what if v over on armour. But they explicitly state no aircraft. Which seems less than collegial to me...
So can we have one at some point? If CVA1 hadn't been canned there could well have been FAA Tomcats in the Falklands, ripe for speculative modeling.

Like this one I did several years ago?
I may be interested in this, although I'm building mainly ships right now I think I could fit another FAA Su-33 in as the last one I built went to meet its maker when it got crushed during a move.

Ohhhh, Whiffers, lovely idea. I actually won a prize in a competition with an F117 in Red Arrows scheme. I would sign up with no hesitation.

I would be in for this one.

Sounds good to me but it would have to be called "What if 2" of similar as camogirl ran a what if campaign back in 2011/12

There were some excellent entries, each with an entertaining backstory

Howdy Y'all
I did a whiff for Hanger Queen IV. Sounds fun but I don't know what I would do at the moment. Count me in and I'll come up with something.
Take care,

Yes, it's annoying, especially since I don't have the originals anymore either

Pretty much all the stuff I do are alternate markings or what if, so you could count me in.

I never finished the last one. What-ifs are the best. No rivet counting and a good chance to use your imagination and get rid of some decals in the spares box. I'd be up for this one.

I am definitely in for this one. It could be a blast and very funny! Would imaginative aircraft be allowed or is it only what if markings and camo schemes?
I am thinking of doing one of these Dust tactics Horten flyer
In any case I am in.

Had a lot of fun with the last What-If campaign when I built a Fairey Rotodyne in RAF colours.
If I get the time (already enlisted in a few campaigns) and if I can get my hands on an A-10, I might join up.

OK, what about this What If campaign soon? looks like there were at least ten interested when this was last discussed.

Well, I'm 0 for 2014 and on pace to meet that in 2015. But this does sound interesting.

I am still in for this one!

Hope to see this campaign take off! As a taste for the crazy things I make on a regular basis, have a Hawker Hurricane Mk.2B of the Royal Hawai'ian Air Force:

Jonathan, the Royal Scotland Air Force A-10 was a blast to build, thanks for posting that picture of it. Jessie and Sam actually came up with the ideas or the weapons load out.
Richard, count me in for What if 2!

Hiya Bruce, love yer work, hope to see more.
Richard West hasnt been around for a month or more. maybe he's go a job in the Far North or somewhere off-grid, anyway I hope he is well.
I am going to go ahead and submit this campaign concept now, and volunteer to be admin in Richard's stead, as it clearly has legs. Wont be 'til fall most likely, in any case.
