How did you mask off the instrument dials?

The dials are not masked off. I airbrush basic interior color, then paint the black dials and boxes with matt Indianian ink. Gloss coat interior with future. I apply decals from Airscale Instrument Dial Decals. paint switches and knobs . The apply flory wash. Flat coat and final detail with some dry brushing of silver for faded look. Hope this helps

Brian,

Under what lighting did you shoot the photos of the assembled airframe? The reason I ask has to do with atmosphereics, light, base color, and the legendary lilac A6M2-N Rufes of Kiska. When I first saw the photos I thought, "He painted his Hamp violet!"

Color, lighting, perception - always fun to experience!
