Good show. Couldn't you just use a B-29 model and get or make the appropriate decals?
Because it was an exact copy.

Great and very interesting program last night. Only problem was the video kept cutting in and out but the audio kept moving along with no blank spaces. It got so bad at one point that I had to go and watch something else. I did not see the whole program.
This usually only happens on the food network (or so my wife says).
Gee, and the price of my cable is going up too.

Propboy44256,
Modelist produces a 1/72 scale TU-4. I don't know if it's a copy of the Minicraft B-29A, but the photos show it as having some level of internal detail (and of being a tail sitter).
You can order it here: Tu-4

I taped the show about a year ago I think. As for the model, I would use the B-29 with some Soviet decals.

The British aviation magazine "Air Enthusiast" had a great article on the TU-4 in the early 1970's pretty interesting stuff.Had the chance to read the articles last year.

I've (just gotta find it) a copy of SAM which did a feature on the B-29 including profiles of PRC (turboprop) AWACS and drone carrier versions, both of which would make AWESOME 1/48 conversions.
