Is it appropriate to put -D hubs and tyres on a -N model? (Specifically, I'm building Trumpeter's 32nd P-47N.)

Probably not. B/C/D/M's used a six-spoke wheel hub and the N's used an 8-spoke hub. Some restored P-47D's show the 8-spoke hub fitted, maybe because it is stronger and newer. Some kitmakers have not gotten this detail correctly on their P-47N kits.
