Hi once again everyone. Final one I started today I promise!
Started working on dragons little bird helimochopter. Apart from the fact that there's no decals it actually seems a pretty good model.
So the cockpit. Decided to try my own version of weathering the interior which I first used on my Panther tank a few days ago but the results where allot better on the Littl bird.
So the basic idea is paint the base in an enamel colour then use an acrylic over the top then using water wear parts of it away. And its worked a treat!!
So the base colour was a Humbrol Silver.
Once this had tried solid I sprayed it with Valejo Black Primer and started the magic.
Then covering it in water and letting it mix with the Valejo paint I used a tooth brush and a orange stick to take bits of the black off.
After most of the construction had been done I thinned some sandy Velejo paints together and started making it look a little weathered.
The centre console.
and finally it all fitted.
I do have the seats in now and the top part of the canopy added but forgot to get pictures. Will get them tomorrow. Enjoy!!

Well after a long absence I managed to get some more work done over the weekend with my littlebird.
So firstly I got the main body put together. Kind of messed the seams together but its only really noticeable on the underneath. One thing I didn't like with the body was that there wasn't the usual style of wholes to get the body to fit.
Next was the epically fun job off covering the windows with tape lol
After that it was adding the panels to the body.
So firstly the grey primer.
Then as I'm going to weather it a bit I covered it in a silver coat followed by a gloss enamel covering to lock it in place.
After the gloss had dried it got a covering of base green, and the start of the camouflage scheme.
next I started adding the tape for the black camo.
and this is where I am at now.

Evening everyone. Hope everyone is well.
So little update from the weekend. Added the final colour the brown to the helo. After This had dried I removed all the masking tape to reveal the paint job. This is how she looks.
After showing this to the other half she said it looks a little sharp so out came the dry brush and with a quick brush later.......
And yes, I do need either an actual camera or a new phone lol
Hope everyone enjoys.

I think, the question is, why I did not reckockized this interesting thread by now!
SI: Great work with the masking of this chopper. I always wanted to build a Viggen with the old splinter camo, but I fear the masking. Like to see more of Your model!

Thanks guys, it seems to be one of those forums that dip under the radar lol. All I'm going to say about that camo is that it most certainly is not a quick process, and my head hurt by end of it thinking about what needed to be masked and sprayed. But I'm afraid since that last post she has just laid dormant on the shelf. I will get back to her soon though.
Thanks though guys!

Hi everyone. Sorry for the long absence.
Thanks Kobus for the kind words.
So I decided to get back at it today. Getting fed up of having all these unfinished models. So today I will be finishing my little bird Helo.
Firstly I got the rota sorted first.
Next I added the wire Arial thing that runs along the side of the Helo.
Then the Camera mount.
The other goodies. I know it doesn't look painted but they are painted grey and given a dirty wash to make them not seem as monocolour.
And now the construction.
And finally the top rota assembly.
