It is about time I started getting all my started kit's done they seem to be piling up.

I thought I would share them here to help me finish and it my be of interest to some.

I will post progress for them here and for some that need more work I will start a separate thread and add links here.

I do have one going already, a Hasegawa F-14A left over from the Enterprise campaign.

http://aeroscale.kitmaker.net/forums/221468&page=1

And there is this F-4E left over from both the 55 Years of Phabulous Phantoms campaign and the Hagar Queen IV campaign.

Cheers Rob.

The F-4 is ready to decal as is the F-111 I did not finish for the Ronnie RAAF Campaign II this one I am trying something different. The F-111 has a black underside that I want to use a semigloss paint for, so I have painted the top and gloss coated it for decals after which I will flat coat it then mask and paint the underside. Hopefully it works the way I think it will.

Cheers Rob.

Right, another front in the stash war. But I think that the stashes are winning. I ordered a new kit just last week. An I may pre-order a kit before I leave Malaysia.

I did at least manage to start a kit while I'm over here, but it just makes for more hanger queens.

The decaling is a slow process

The decals for the F-4 are in bad shape with cracks throughout, after trying the first without sucess I sprayed some Microscale liquid decal film over the remaining decals that helped but there are still some cracks luckily I also have some Microscale decals for it as well.

With the F-111 I am taking some artistic liberties I don't believe these were ever put on a camouflaged aircraft but seeing as this will not see a contest I wanted to add some color.

Cheers Rob.

Neat artwork on the Aardvark. I've lot a lot of OLD kits in the stash. I've taken to spraying them with Testor's Decal fix spray for your home made decals. Generally work s well, but can leave an extra bit of 'carrier' on the decal when you want to place it.

Rob,
The decaling on the F-4 is looking quite good. Love those tail markings on the F-111. If you like it, that's all that counts.

BTW, I won the Armor stash war since it's been years since I built any new armor kits. I just traded all the kits except one in at my LHS for more aircraft kits.

Hi All!

It's been awhile and I have made some good progress on the Phantom!
The decals took a long time and a lot of setting solution.
I also got a wash done.

Pics to follow batteries are dead.

Cheers Rob.

Rob, don't forget to sign up for Hanger Queen 7, we're doing a bit of group therapy on unfinished builds.

Well, timely in this case means getting one done by December 31, 2017. Even I have a chance of making that one. Looks like you're close with the Phantom.

Rob,

They are turning out as fine looking models. Love your tight demarcations between the camo colors.

The F-4 looks so funny without a canopy.

Thanks!

All the camo was done freehand with an airbrush.

Cheers Rob.

Dug out another old kit.

I built this as a teen and after putting a lot of effort into the cockpit was not happy with how much you could see. After going through all the references I had and could find at the time I never got the info I was after so it got put in a box and at some point I decided to do an M version. Well now I'm back at it!

Cheers Rob.

Cut back the hood so you can now see all the work I put into the cockpit now trying to fit the xtraparts resin into the kit parts.

Cheers Rob.

Hi Jonathan Yes we just might.

Working on the missiles for the Phantom I like how the seaker heads are coming along.

Cheers Rob.

Here is a pic that shows better what I did with the seaker heads, I drilled a hole in the back then painted the hole grey and the surround black. I also finished the painting of the missiles sanded the seam on the canopy painted the inside of the frame and masked it after a coat of Future.

Cheers Rob.

It's been some time since my last post,

I am settling into a new place and should be doing a lot more soon.

I have a lot of work to fix all my projects that got damaged in my moves.

Here are before and afters of just one.

Cheers Rob.
