Hi everyone, been at it again this week and got about 6 more planes made. Including the 5 Spitfires.

So this on is the basic Spitfire, the Mk1a. Its an older kit but its going together nicely. Enjoy!

So first the fuselage. Painted with the usual greeny RAF colour.

Then sticking it all together and a little look at the pilot.

And the wings.

After tidying up the edges and adding the undercarriage that's this one ready for paint.

It builds very easily and quickly. They also modified the tool to a Vb that I've built a fair few of over the years.

Looking forward to seeing the finished result.

Funny you mention that Stephen, but I have also made a Vc one and the fuselage is the old model but the wings are new moulding. I'll hopefully have most of it sprayed this weekend

I tried the Vc when it first came out a few years ago. I couldn't get the wings to fit at all, so you did a better job than me on that one.
Originally it was the vintage Vb kit with a new set of wings. They're thicker than the originals and I could not get them to co-operate. Ideally Airfix should have redone the whole thing. I ended up building it as the Vb and using spare decals. Unfortunately, besides from this kit and the Smer rebox of Hellers C, we don't have much choice.

You know I was sure someone else had after I'd posted. But could I think who or even if was in plastic or resin? Have to look out for that one now I know.
