I had some time to look at this. Man, the overall weathering, and that tape detail, is just fantastic. What a unique model you have made! The exterior of my B-17 will present a major challenge for me. I'm usually a "factory fresh with light exhausts and minor dirt" kinda guy. Seeing how you and others approach wear issues certainly means that I'll be asking lots of questions when I finally move "outside."
I look forward to your next build. This one's a champ.

Brian,
Much thanks for the positive feedback. Both you and Joel W. have been consistently positive and helpful with comments throughout both this build and on the FM-2 one before that, it definitely helps keep me focused and motivated. I just hope these rambling missives of modeling mischance may provide the germ of an idea someone else can pickup and use to good advantage. Or at least what to avoid. Thanks again for your support. (wasn't that a Bartles & James ad?)

I actually have a graphic of the phrase with the two gents somewhere in my blog.
The "props" are well earned. Both your builds have been exotic, impressive conversions.
