Hi folks,
Being an aircraft novice, has anyone build the Revelle 1/35 kit? Just wondering what to fix/correct, is there a PE set worth buying? Any help appreciated.
I want to finish it as a Medivac Chopper during the Korean War.
Thanks
Al

No issues with the kit or building it. There is no PE for it that I know of. It is not a Korean War H-13 though. The H-13C/D was used in Korea with a large, centrally mounted fuel tank in front of the engine. The Academy/MRC Bell 47D MASH HL kit is a Korean War era H-13D. The Revell version is a Vietnam War era OH-13H with the saddle bag fuel tanks. By Vietnam, they were no longer used as MedEvac helos, being replaced by the larger Huey.

Hi Gino,
Thanks for the reply. I'll have to see if I can get the Academy kit.

I built that kit last year for my neighbor for Christmas . I thought the kit was not that good . but it was a decent kit . My only problem was the main body was warped . I really like to build another one .
Here is my build

Gino always corrected me on my builds .. HEHEHE
That was my second build
On that build the seats where wrong color .. Gino corrected me
Anyway that kit is a good kit . Mine just started with warp body ..
I would recommend it . For the price . Can't be beat
Thanks

I've built both the Revell and the MRC/Academy kit. The Academy kit is more refined and the boom structure is thinner. I'd say that it's superior to the Revell, but the Revell is still a nice build. Either one you get will be enjoyable.
