Hello All,
After being featured here for many years, I have regretfully decided to close down the Dragon Model of the Month contest, due to certain logistical problems that some of you are keenly aware of. We will do our best to fulfill any outstanding prizes either via Dragon, or our own supply of kits.
Please contact me if you are still awaiting a prize.
We will be looking at other options for a future contest for Aircraft models. Stay tuned on that.
Thanks,
Jim

Cheers Jim
It must have been a painful decision. It's a real shame when something that was well-intentioned by both parties causes frustration and disappointment.

Heeey?!! I hope this doesn't mean the end of MoM all together...I mean who cares about a prize?!!! It is the thrill of the chase!...well sorry that went a little Deep Purple but you know what I mean.

This certainly is bad news. MoM was much more than just a model competition, it was a genuine display of aeroscale members bench work. Hope this is not permament and, new robe or old robe, it returns back.
My 2 cents is that MoM could include work by scale. No doubt the smaler the scale the harder it is to compete using mere photos (and in my case with little photographer skills) vs bigger scales.

I'm taking the initiative to continue the Aeroscale contest on my own. Prizes will be awarded from a random selection of review kits that I've had sent to me, so you've seen them here before. Expect them not to be mint, unopened kits
We may explore other alternatives for prizes such as crowdsourcing (an excellent way of thinning out your stash) or even giving out bragging rights for the thrill of participating. I'm willing to think outside the box on this one, as long as Aeroscalers are willing to help keep the contest running.

Hi Jessie
That's wonderful - and I really appreciate you doing that! - but you shouldn't shoulder it alone. I'm sure I can help with similar ex-sample items for European winners which I'd otherwise donate to Oxfam.
But, probably more exciting for future winners - I read behind the scenes that there's progress towards a new sponsored contest. Stay tuned for news...
All the best

I'm in, either by donating kits or adding few coins to the crowd-fund.

Lets keep it going, even without prizes. Even if its not a contest - take submissions the same way for models completed each month.
