Hi!
Not a usual aircraft builder, so I need some advice here.
Are HB and Trumpeter kits in 1/48 any good?
I'm interested mainly in FW-190 versions and any Me-...
If not, what kit do you suggest for, let's say, any of the FW-190A's and the Me-109 and/or 262.
Thanks!

It appears that their kits have evolved a lot over the years. I built a Dauphin helicopter from Trumpeter and was "not impressed".
So, be careful and take one of their latest offerings if yuo really want to build a trump.
If you envisage building a trouble free 1/48 kit, I would suggest going to Tamiya. Easy assembly, usually very good fit and not to complicated.
If you don't mind extravaantly complex building instructions and many parts then Hasegawa is the way to go.
Next to that, consider Eduard, their MIG 21 series is gorgeous

I've built a few Hobby Boss kit in 1/48 scale; the TBM-3 Avenger, and the A-6E Intruder. Both kits were rather complex. Part fit was generally good with some fit issues here and there. Detail was excellent.
What I suggest you do is a Google search for builds of the exact kits you're interested in.
