Welcome to my thread to show off the various builds I've done in the past 6 months. With few exceptions, they're WIFs and Alternate History pieces since I'm just crazy like that.

Things like my 1/72 Fokkers:

And a 1/48 Bulgarian P-40:

1/72 'Ukrainian Liberation Army' Me-262A:

1/72 Trio of WIFs: Active duty He-280, Habsburg Austrian P-36 "Falke" and a Slovak Avia B.35:

My current project is a 1/48 Hawker Hurricane in the colors of the obviously fictional Royal Hawai'ian Air Force. I have a full story in mind for its pilot too.. so clearly I'm not getting carried away with it. Just debating the camouflage colors for it. Maybe something similar to what the Philippine Army Air Corps was using:

All good stuff

I always like WIFs, and imagineering. Looking forward to seeing more.

We ran a What if campaign here a couple years ago, it produced some very interesting results.

Some progress on the Hawai'ian Hurricane:

^It's a pretty simple kit, but it'll serve its purpose; I'm leaving some pieces off since they're for versions of the Hurricane that I don't envision being in Hawai'ian service.

The Hawai'ian Hurricane thus far, with roundels generously made by JClapp:

Nice camo colors.
You've got me thinking Martyn.
Ive decided to create an air force for the Republic of the Marshall Islands.
Ive designed their (imaginary) insignia -

based on their (real) flag.

I have a pair of Hawker Hunters to supply them

That sounds very interesting, looking forward to seeing what that looks like!

And now, presenting the Hawker Hurricane Mk.2B of the Royal Hawai'ian Air Force:

Thanks for the compliment!

Not sure if I will build any ground equipment, though I will certainly be building another RHAF aircraft. It's not WW2, but will represent postwar Hawai'ian air power through a Canadair Sabre using the postwar/Commonwealth pineapple roundels.

After a bit of a hiatus, I have a new plane to add to the hangar. This adds to my tendency to take venerable kits older than myself and create finished works with markings not included in the original packaging. Anyway, please enjoy this next wif, a Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat in fictional camouflage and the markings of the Fuerza Aera Venezolana (Venezuelan Air Force):

^Quite blurry, apologies for that.
