I'm glad to see this one back on the shelves as I've been after one for some time. There's something very retro-futuristic about the design of the Victor, almost looks like it's flown straight out of a Flash Gordon comic. I'm not ashamed to admit to being a huge fan of Matchbox. They're my guilty pleasure. But, yes high time we got a new tooling of this important type.

It is an old Matchbox kit hence the raised detail etc. It is the only game in town so if you want a 1/72 Victor you have no choice. Having said all that it does build up into a nice looking Victor, especially if you use the old camo scheme markings that hide much of the raised detail. And the dayglo stripes on the refueling pods really make the model pop.

Not missing it this time. I already have the other 2, so I really do need it to complete the collection. That's the line I'm giving my better half anyway.
