Hi Damian
I agree - it's great to see this one so close to fruition! I'm just so chuffed for Lampie!

It would have been nice of them to let the authors know!!!
Why would you need to know, you aren't waiting to buy a copy??
You just sit at home with your feet up and a glass of red wine waiting for the cheques to start rolling in

Very good news indeed, well done Nige

Hi again
Michael has sent us word that the book is ready to ship, along with confirmation that the decals are printed by Cartograf - so the quality will speak for itself.
All the best

In the UK the book will only be available from the 56th Museum at Halesworth initially, until a distribution deal is arranged by the publishers.
The books being sold from the museum are our "payment", and all proceeds from the sale of these books goes directly to the running costs of the 56th FG Museum which relies solely on donations and volunteers.
All of the books at Halesworth will be signed by myself and Peter Randall.
At present, we are waiting for the books to be shipped to us from Poland.
Once we have them and they have been delivered to the museum I'll post a link on here for ordering.
Don't forget, "Zemke's Wolfpack, A Photographic Odyssey of the 56th Fighter Group in WW2", also by myself and Peter, is published at the end of June by Fighting High and is available for pre order from them and also on Amazon. It features over 400 photographs, the majority of which are appearing in print for the first time and a foreward by Hub Zemke Jnr.

Myself and Peter Randall are very pleased to announce that signed copies of 56th Fighter Group V1. Kingscliffe Kindergarten-Halesworth Heyday" are now available direct from the 56th Fighter Group Museum at Halesworth.
Our fee for writing the book was a consignment of copies which have been donated to the museum, and all funds raised from the sale of these copies go directly to the upkeep of the museum which relies totally on volunteers and donations.
Follow the link below, select the area that applies to you, (UK, Europe, U.S, Australia) and click on "Buy Now".
It's that easy!

Congratulations Nige!
I received a review copy from the publishers at the weekend, and I can vouch for the fact that is a marvellous book - a goldmine of info. I can't say too much here, or I'll have nothing left for the review. Suffice to say, though, the last line will be "Unreservedly recommended".
All the best

Hi Rowan,
That's almost a review in itself!
Myself and Peter are very much looking forward to seeing our first review as authors.
I heard from the guys at Halesworth today.
Since we took the shipment of books to the museum on Sunday, a third of them have been sold, with approx 20 signed copies selling via the above link in the first 24 hours.
Anyone intending to purchase a signed copy from the museum had better get in quick because if they keep selling at this rate the UK allocation of books will be sold out very quickly indeed!
Thank you to all those who have purchased already. The proceeds are going to a great cause!

Over 70 copies sold from Halesworth museum in the first week is a fantastic boost for them.
