Hi all!
Some work over the last weeks on the combatants.
Think you all know about the quality of those 70's kits from Heller...
The Airacobra was first decaled with US Markings and after "delivered" to Russia roughly overpainted, received red stars and a bad maintenance. Still some things to do on both of them.

Nice Thomas! It's easy to forget how small the 109 was.

Hi Daniel,
Amazing work with the scalpel! Did you just scrape some of the plastic off? How did you judge when it was enough?
Regards,
Kobus

Thanks Kilo,
Yes, I used the scalpe, but then you must you a sandpaper to give the final appearance. I use some photos for reference.

Thank's Peter and Michael!
Daniel, nice progress and good surgical work
For this campaign it's coming nearly to the end as I call the second opponent finished and will send it to combat...
Bf109 G2 (Heller-F) from 15. (Kroat)/JG 52 (Kroatenstaffel; Croatian Air Force Legion) late 1942 Crimea/Kuban. Unknown unit against a Russian P39 Airacobra (also unknown).
... and they can't wait to went out and play... (a little fuzziness by moving the birds to give a bit life)
Try to get another photo session soon, although I have no sufficient background.

O.K. folks, showtime!
Now I call it officially done.
Didn't took it all too serious, had just some fun with that double build and tried out some techniques
Thank's for looking, enjoy your benchtime

Mr, PrickleHead.
I have a problem,... i lost my start photos with time and date,.. just spend an hour trying to find them but could not retrieve them out of my wonderful lightroom,..
Anyway i started a long time ago 2 Airfix 1/72 models, then the built staled but i'm now on track to finish them both today or tomorrow.
It's a early second world war engagement some were over France between the English and German classics.
The progress so far on the "English"
And the "German"
small set back,...
resprayed it,.. the damage shows but from a distance it looks,.. well not ok but will do.
