Glad they still offer this! I have so many good memories of this model, I built at least two. Been tempted to buy the reissue. I dunno about today yet as of the mid-1990s this kit was still considered the most accurate P-51D available.

BSI makes SUPER-GOLD and SUPER-GOLD+ that are odorless CAs for attaching clear canopies in plastic model kits. I use it and it works as advertised.

Not sure what to make of this, but I'm glad it's there for a stroll down memory lane.

Hi Jim
Cheers for a wonderful blast from the past. This was always a dream kit for me and my friends in the '60s - something we saw advertised in imported American comics, but never turned up in our LHS.
All the best
Rowan

My father bought this kit for he and I to build when I was 8 years old. I don't think we ever finished it.
I bought the re-release in the 70's and built it for him one Christmas. I painted one side in the colors of the p-51 he flew during the war and left the other side clear.
Thanks for the memories,
C.
