Does anyone make a 1/48 Curtis OX5 engine? I need to put something into the nose of my Jenny other than that lump Lindberg thinks is an acceptable engine.

Couldn't find anything in Hannants, and I was also looking for a Wright-Hisso, which was also used on the Jenny, specifically the early US Airmail variants, in case you were amenable to an alternate.

Since I'm doing a Canuck, I'm kind of stuck with the Curtis

Ok, I didn't know which specific variant you were building. Y'know, you could build a strange Canadian variant, one with a Beardmore engine(jk), but then, I've also been branching out into what-if territory lately.

Try 'Engines and Things' based in Alberta. Catalog for 2015 says a 1/48 OX-5 is available.

I had a report from a poster on the old Aerodrome forum who said that his was even worse than the one in the kit.

Engines & Things resin engines are alright, to a point, but you have to do more than a little amount of work to make one of their engines look good enough. The lady who runs it might have a far larger selection than Vector, but that's about her only advantage.
