Hi there
It's Festival time! At least, here on the Isle of Wight. This year my Oxfam bookshop has been invited to be there along with the Tim Peaks Diner by none other than Tim Burgess (The Charlatans) himself, so obviously we can't miss the opportunity.
There's so much to do, it probably means I'll have very little time online from now through to early next week. I'll look in when I can, but it may be flying visits.
If you're attending the Festival, do look in to say "Hi" - we'll be in the Hey Joe Rock Bar. I never get to Telford or other model shows, so it'd be a laugh to talk kits amid the music mayhem!
All the best
Rowan

Hi again
Just back from a site recce. It's all looking good to go. From what Tim Peaks are saying, some of the artists performing at the Festival will be looking in to help in the shop! So.. we're not promising Fleetwood Mac, Blur or the Charlatans, but you never know who might be at the till!
It should be fun!

... but if you promise Stevie Nicks (if she still joins the band) and Billy Idol at the till I will organise an immediate trip...
I had a look at the IOW-Fesitval site - sounds like a funny and promising event. Never been on the IOW, but sure must be a visit worth. Have fun!!!

Hi Thomas
If Stevie Nicks comes to help, I might be too distracted to talk "kits" with any passing Aeroscalers!

Hi again
Safely landed back at base, totally knackered! I think I must be getting old!
All the credit must go to the Oxfam volunteers, and it was definitely worth effort, because we raised nearly £1000 on a weekend that's normally rather a washout for us because the Festival tends to draw business away from Newport town centre.
So a huge thank you to Tim Peaks Diner for inviting Oxfam IOW Books & Music to share their prime site in the Hey Joe Bar at the Festival!
