I have just finished imcth's Fine Structure Zero. Without doubt the best kit I have ever seen!

Very cool build.
When do you start on a full size version given you have done a test run?

Women & planes... Who knew? I recently found out that a woman friend of FORTY YEARS is a secret aviation nut. I sent her one of these http://www.fascinations.com/metalearth/Flight/SR-71-Blackbird

Excellent work! About the only thing I could nitpick about is the reflector sight glass, those look cloudy and too thick for the scale.
Reminds of the 'strip down' kits Eduard does, but this on a whole another level. I presume PE work in extent needs to be soldered in order get strong enough joints?

Brian,
What a extraordinary build. As you said, I'm a plastic modeler, who would surely have found at least a dozen excuses not to tackle a project build like this.
The kit is amazing. Your skills in building it are what made this such an enjoyable build for you, so don't sell yourself short. The average plastic modeler could never get though it. Believe me, I'm most likely 1st on that list.
I've never heard of this company before, nor had any idea where to buy any of their kits, nor how much they cost, so I did a Google search. HobbyLink Japan carries their full line. The Zero sells for $232 plus shipping. So they're not cheap. Will I buy one? Honestly, I don't think I have the skills nor the mindset to successfully build one.

You really should try one, Joel. I'd never tackled anything like this before & never even used a PE detail set. I happened across imcth purely by chance while idly following hyperlinks one night & was enchanted/intrigued & just couldn't resist. They aren't cheap, but the kit quality is extraordinary - and the end product simply stunning.
I'm really enjoying the Mustang too http://p51mustangbuild.tumblr.com/

I can see giving these kit a serious look and try when I fully retire in 1 1/2 years.

Brian,
Retired already. Personally, I can't wait. Of course my wife really thinks I should work till I'm pushing up Daisies.
Will keep an eye out, but I'm hoping that you'll post any new kits.

Brian,
The finished wing looks incrediable. The amount of skill and patience needed to do this type of modeling is way beyond my skill level. Frankly, PE and I really don't see eye to eye.
