Hi all.
Just posted a few more pics in Gallery. All are completed models. Will post progressives when I do my next model.
Comments welcome.
Many thanks

Hi Peter
Nice job on the models. I really like the camo you put on each one.
Were they hand painted or airbrushed? If airbrushed, did you mask off any or did you do it free hand? I'll take any tips I can get for learning to get camo to come out looking good like yours do.
Nice job and good modeling,
Wayne

Hi Wayne
glad you like the pics.
I use a variety of methods of masking and painting. But I normally do the underside first. For this I use a crappy basic Humbrol airbrush or rattle can depending on colour. Then mask off ready for upper surfaces.
The DoP247...typo on gallery...dislexia stikes again.
The underside was airbrushed with my own mix for RLM76 Blue.
The upper surfaces were masked using blu-tac. About 3 mm thick as I wanted a slight soft edge. The spots and patches on the fuselage sides were done by hand. Upper colours RLM 82 Light green and RLM 83 Dark green.
The Hs P122.
Same procedure for the lower surfaces.
The upper was masked on this one with post-it notes and tape. Fuselage splotches were masked with liquid mask and touched up by hand.
Colours on this one: Lower-RLM 76 Blue. Upper- Rlm 70 Black green, RLM 82 Light green and RLM 83 Dark green.
All colours are Humbrol standard and mixed.
If you need any more help, fire away.
Plus on site there are some who are masters at the paint jobs and will definitely offer you some sound advise.
If you practice on some scrap card or even cardboard with the airbrush and masking techniques you'll be up and at it in no time.
Have fun.
Cheers
