Burt usually treats us to modern jets, but this weekend he has decided to look further back in history.

Burt,
Your finished Spitfire IXc came out extremely well. And it's the finished product that counts.

I've never taken what Eduard calls a weekend kit to be a kit that can be build in 2-3 days, but rather the basic plastic injected kit with no PE or resin parts, and their current kits are some of the best OOB builds out there. So I would expect for a builder like myself to take a min of month or so.

I built the limited edition and while being a rather complicated kit, the part fit was nearly perfect, especially the extremely well detailed interior.

What masks are you referring too? The decal sheet with the limited edition kit are perfect, while the IP is layered PE.

Hi Burt

Nice one! It's always good to see a Spitfire.

I agree with Joel - Eduard's definition of a "Weekend" can be stretching it a bit sometimes - certainly for the likes of me. I'm sure there are speed-builders out there who could finish a kit like this that quickly, but I doubt I'll ever join their ranks.

I have to say, it would be worth getting hold of some RAF colours if you enjoy subjects like this - although, ironically, your version of Sky on the spinner and fuselage band doesn't look far of one of the many variations of Cockpit Grey-Green.

All the best

Rowan
