Thanks for another really excellent and complete review. I'm always interested in 1/48 scale USN WW11, especially Corsairs. This kit is now on my must have list.

Wings should be all metal, so no texture is supposed to be present on them.

Sure looks like Hobby Boss took the easy way out and used the molds for the wings from their -4 issue.

Should it have all smooth wings then? My reference as mentioned was limited and that detail was not something I picked up on, sorry

Pitty they went this way. Otherwise the kit looks great. I suppose it's easy to fix the surface, but why???
