That would go really well together with my F3F collection! I can't wait until a review kit gets looked at

OK that's just jumped to the top of my wants list.

The Grumman design bureau certainly never strayed from a common theme.

Why re-invent the wheel? Evolution, not revolution. It got them right through from the 1930s to the 1980s

I'm in for one. Already have the Accurate Miniatures F3F-2. Never thought I'd see the F2F in kit form. Joel

Now all we need is the FF-1 and the timeline of the Grumman Ironworks in 1/48 will be complete

RVHP did a 1/48 FF-1/Goblin in the early 2000's but you'll need deep pockets (resin kit) and a good search to find one. No idea what the kit was like as I never saw one for myself.

I know of that one, but since the only place to find one is evil-bay, I discounted it. We really need a nice, new FIFI. Attack Squadron, are you listening?

Jessica, I have started a separate stash of 1/48 scale Grumman aircraft with the sole intention of having one of every model and major variant of my favorite Aircraft company, especially since I grew up 20 min from their main gate in Bethpage NY. I've yet to figure out how to display the Trumpeter Albatross, hence it's still on the need to buy list. The thought of having a FF-1 never really crossed my mind. I'm still waiting for a F11F. Joel

It's been done, though it isn't for the faint of heart

Oh yes I have one
I'm with you Joel except the live close to the factory bit, love the aircraft from Grumman (and Hawker and Bristol) and do have nearly all the aircraft available in 1/48 with a few extra Hellcats (7) and Tomcats (9)

Thank you for discussing our F2F-1 kit. Can not wait your opinion when you will receive a kit. It looks to be a good seller, so we can think about FF-1 then.

Speaking of Albatrossi, Lindberg (Polar Lights) has come out with their ancient, 1950's Grumman Goose, if you wish memory lane.
