I recently finally got hold of a Tamiya 1:48th Lancaster with the intention of modelling a 1944 aircraft.
Does anyone know of a 1:48th scale resupply set like the Airfix 1:72 version containing bomb trolleys, tractor etc. I've been trawling the net but so far drawn a blank.

Hi Joe,

Many thanks for your reply.
That's exactly the sort of thing I want but in 1:48th scale.

Cheers,

Kristian.

Hi Kristian,

I read too fast...did not catch the 1:48 part. In any case,
Tamiya makes a Tilly and Airfix makes a MWD Bedford and a
Albion fueler in 1:48.

Cheers,
Joe

Kristian, some of the items can be had from the Accurate Armour and Flightpath ranges although I don't know of any bomb trolleys in 1/48.
Plus as Joe pointed out Airfix and Tamiya have a couple of vehicles in their ranges.

Flightpath definitely has bomb trolleys in 1/48th. You can get 'em at Hannants.

Hi All,

Many thanks for the replies.
The Tamiya Tilly and Bedford are certainly perfect although the refueler I would think slightly small for a Lanc ?
The Accurate Armour kits are wonderful, if slightly pricey for 1:48th. However, I am sure I can create a convincing diorama given time.

Cheers,

Kristian.

Good to know. I have your RAF/USAAF bomb carts for a B-17 diorama in the works along with the "Standard WWII Airfield Hut." Look to be a challenge in photo etch when I get there, but worth it.
