I hope this doesn't end up badly as often happens to enthusiasts with money but no time to remain proficient. There are some celebrities who manage to remain proficient and I hope he does.

Well, I hope he doesn't end up as a maroon smear on the tarmac. The Spitfire, like any thoroughbred, does demand perfect, unabated attention. Perhaps Angelina should get a Sea Fury.
Best wishes,
Ian

Perhaps they'd both be better off with a Breese Penguin:

Hey! Harrison Ford can fly just fine. It's only emergency landings on golf courses that he's not very good at.

That is true. As they say.....a good landing is one you can walk away from. But if Pitt destroys that Spit ( I made a rhyme), Johnnie Johnson will be rolling in his grave.
Best wishes,
Ian

Such purchases frequently don't end well. Remember Jeffrey Ethel . See also John Denver

It's his money, so he can do with as he deems fit. Lets just hope that he talents as an aviator are up to the standards necessary to fly his Spitfire safely as he put it through its paces.

Good for him, I'm sure we all wish we had the cash and the time.

I think Tom Cruise has a Mustang, dunno if he flies it. But good luck Brad.
John Denver was a fine pilot, he was flying a prototype aircraft when he crashed, but had been flying for years prior to his accident. I think if you have the money then why not, Travolta flies for the Airliners for the fun of it. Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden fame does too.

Let's not forget Cliff Robertson and his work with the Experimental Aircraft Association and the "Young Eagles."
