Hi Martin,

I do not think it is a problem that you posted you little advertizement. I loved your Delfin:

and I plan to get your Magister one day (it is a bit expensive compared to the competititor, but has of course some cool features). The new MiG is very high on my to buy list and I hope the Gina is still in the plans (I'd get two of these)

all the best

Hi Steffen,
Many thanks for the first reply.....

The AMK Magister comes with a visible interior / feel tanks and both engines of course. It also has the transparent fuselage in case you want to show those off.

I like your Delfin - very good indeed! Thank you for posting it.

All our kits have been recently ordered by Hannants so they will carry all our kits from now on.

The MiG-31 will be available to look at next weekend at Telford SMW 2015.
A built but not painted model will be available to look at too.

The Gina is incoming as is the F-14 Tomcat family too.

Those are releases in Q2-Q3 2016.

Martin, as much as I like the German markings I do hope the Gina will come with Italian markings as well.

That may prove difficult.
We approached the Italians and it appears that the only model kit manufacturer allowed to use the Italian roundel and any squadron markings will be Italeri. They pay a significant amount to allow them this privilege.

Maybe we shot ourselves in the foot by trying to be honest and caring about copyrights?

For example the photographs I use (like the SuE on Facebook) all have the owners permission to use them.

The Italians do not want anyone to use these things and no amount of money was discussed. It was just "NO".

Trying to think of ways around it but so far, not looking great unless we split the roundel into sub parts and the squadron emblems too. Watch this space, we are trying for you.

Martin,

for me personally (besides Luftwaffe markings) I would be interested in Portugues markings for a/c operating in Africa .. so do not bother about Italian markings and let them do their mafia stuff (...toungue firmly in cheek!!)

cheers

Very cool stuff, thanks for joining us and sharing.

Perhaps you could be a sponsor here at Aeroscale! They treat us builders well here.

I'll happily build and review the KFIR here for you if you'd like. I have two first place finishes at IPMS shows this year.

Thanks for the replies and welcomes guys.

Stiffen / Littorio, we will still try and get something done but Portuguese is almost certainly on the decal sheet.

Anthony, the MiG-31 is not yet released so no-one has them for sale yet. In fact I am waiting for the first assembled kit in the world to fly to me in the UK for this years Telford SMW show next weekend.

Hannants will have the MiG-31 built up but not painted. They will also be getting 2 of each of our other releases. Go and see the and touch them.

Thanks for the offer Matt. Please send me some pictures of completed items to :

martin(at)amkhobby.com

Thanks

I have picked up one of the Delfins, and I must say it is a beautifully rendered kit. Nice light panel lines and other engravings, smoooooooth finish, and a nice interior to boot! The decals are top notch as are the remarkably clear canopy parts-talk about distortion free....After a close inspection of each part I found only two very minor glitches. The elevator part has a sink in the top right at/surrounding the teardrop fairing, a fill-reshape job, and there is a prominent switch panel missing from the right cockpit sidewall, scrap plastic and wire, no biggy. As I said before, a beauty.

Thank you.
Usually our Quality Control is second to none because we actually own the factory and our staff do all of the quality inspections.
I suspect your sprue slipped through. Normally we wouldn't allow it.

Apologies from me. I hope this didn't detract from your build.

Martin,
Thanks so much for sharing your AMK information with us. I've yet to purchase or build one of your kits, but those Kfirs C2/C7 are must haves for me. Hoping that Sprue Brothers or a few of the other major USA online companies will be carrying them.

Taking up Matt's offer would be a step in the right direction. All of his builds that he's posted here are extremely well done to the highest standards. Having him do a build review would be an excellent choice.
