Just received a Planet 1/72nd Saunders Roe SAR/1 jet fighter flying boat.
I ask if it had made the grade and been produced, what camo would it have had, considering it was designed for use in the Pacific, or so I believe?
Ideas most wecome.
Cheers and thanks
Peter

Hi there Peter :-)
I'll break ranks from the miserable lot!
Assuming the war had carried on that long in the Pacific, I reckon the SR.A/1 would have been camouflaged in Sky undersurfaces, tail and fuselage sides, with Extra Dark Sea Grey topsides. It could have still had Dark Slate Grey / Extra Dark Sea Grey upper surfaces...
Not very exciting but, hey!, there would have been a war on!! Of course, the return to bright colours for the roundels wouldn't have happened so early, so nice dull markings! :-)
All the best

Thanks Rowan,
much appreciated. I was thinking along similar lines, but as I don't do many British stuff of that type I thought it best to seek advise and confirm my leanings. And you did just that.
Thanks again.
Cheers and enjoy your coffee.
